Beyond Books examines the printed work of the graphic designer Alighiero Boetti, from his artists' books to posters and exhibition invitations, taking a look along the way at his long association with newspaper Il Manifesto. Boetti was both the typesetter and art director, shifting from one role to the other. In Boetti's work Giorgio Maffei and Maura Picciau investigate the evolution of a new concept of the book, where reading and looking become part of the same experience.
